With autumn around the corner, it seems to be all about cinema here this month. We have the International Cinema Festival of Sitges in Catalonia (6-15 October), which focuses on fantasy cinema; the documental cinema festival Docúpolis in Barcelona (4-8 October) and the In-Edit Music Film Festival (27 October - 1 November).

In Warwick UK, recent work has included float for the UBS Bank with the photographer Bernd Hoff for agency Purpur AG, Zürich, with AD Dario Bendassa.

Entijuana Productions recently collaborated with photographer Detlev Hundsdoerfer for the new Heine catalogue, which is to be published in Germany.

Other recent jobs include production of the Semana Fantástica catalogue for El Corte Inglés, photographed by Paco Pelaez, as well as the fashion catalogue for Naulover, photographed by Jordi Blancafort with model Bar Refaeli.

The photo production and artist representation division of Toma 78 are optimistic about the new season after a year of increasing efficiency, working on projects for Nike, La Caixa, women’secret, Ford and Euromillones with their national in-house photographers.

Toma 78 also handles representation for international photographers such as Rankin. See their website for further information.

On the service side, Toma 78 supported several photographers such as Serge Leblon and Blink to "get the picture" for campaigns like Sony, Bausch & Lomb, Kipling, Monsoon Menswear, and Esprit.

mad production/commercial production: THE MUSHROOM COMPANY

The Mushroom Company is a new art buying and production services agency in Madrid, representing national and international photographers.

They launched with two accomplished advertising productions under their belts: Publicis-Lado C and Renault.

The Renault Espace advertisement shows an image of Paris, a city made of glass with its full transparency in 3D. Photography was by Douglas Fisher’s studio in London. The two images for Renault Megane Cabrio were shot by Javier Tles and illustrated by Milk.

The Mushroom Company is also pleased to announce representation in Spain for the following photographers:

For Renault Megane, Jesús Camizo photographed the adventure for Publicis Lado C and Stefano Morini took the picture of Renault Space.

Un Minuto also worked on El País Semanal, when Fernanda Tavares dressed by Sebastian Kauffman was photographed by John Balsom.

Iza Olak has recently emerged from the Sintesis campaign, while Vinny Michaud, Zoe Gaze and Danila Poliakov have been working on the worldwide campaign for Andrew Mackenzie, with Mario Dazan as the photographer.

Italian model Cristiano Basso has just featured in the latest autumn/winter Caramelo campaign, shot by photographer Sergi Pons.

bcn event/film events: SITGES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

The Sitges International Film Festival is "the number one fantasy film festival in the world", and presents cultural expression with the greatest media impact in Catalonia.

With a solid experience behind it, the festival is a "stimulating universe of meetings, exhibitions, presentations and screenings" of fantasy films from all over the world.

The festival will be kicking off its 39th edition with the premiere of El Laberinto del Fauno, by Guillermo del Toro.

The Official Fantastic Section includes films such as: Cigarette Burns (Masters Of Horror 8) by John Carpenter, The Science Of Sleep by Michel Gondry and Time (Shigan) by Kim Ki-Duk.

bcn event/event production: DOCUPOLIS - FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DOCUMENTAL

Docúpolis, the International Documentary Film Festival of Barcelona, is celebrating its sixth edition and announces the official call for entries for its International Competition. This year, Docúpolis has added new sections with the intention of connecting and establishing alliances with other international festivals.

As with previous editions, Docúpolis will show the majority of documentaries in at the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona.

The growing importance of documentaries in Spain and the intention of opening up new spaces for diffusion into diverse geographic areas, has encouraged the festival "to continue delineating diverse forms of representing our culture and recovering our memory".

The festival organisers, Tercer Ojo- International Documentary Association, takes up the challenge to offer the conditions that an annual festival needs to be able to present new ideas and to become a reference for the south of Europe.

Ciao Bella is a new Italian restaurant in Barcelona for lovers of Italian cuisine and culture.

It offers a good choice of pizzas as well as a long list of other Italian dishes. Lunch menus are 9.70 €.

Thanks to its 120 square metre space, which is divided into two independent rooms, the restaurant "is suitable for a romantic dinner for two, as well as for groups, parties, presentations and events of any range".
