Welcome to SHOWCASE BARCELONA - brought to you by Production Paradise. Barcelona is home to some of Spain's best production companies, photographers and advertising agencies, so there is always plenty of production work going on in the city.

From 19 to 22 September, Barcelona will once again be the capital of fashion, introducing new trends for spring-summer 2006 at an international level. Pasarela Gaudí will hold Fashion Week in Pavilion Z-6, Fira de Barcelona, where more than 30 creators and 100 models will take part.

Just after finishing up a Schwarzkopf commercial for German production company E+P Commercial Film Production in May, TEAM WORKS has been contracted again by E+P to produce their latest Vodafone ad with director Dennis Gansel, featuring one of the best skateboarders in Spain Mr. Roure who pulled off a complicated skate park scene.

Their latest job was done for Donna on the Summer Collection 2006 and Platino underwear, also for the next summer season.

First Factory has produced the POS summer campaign for Caixa Catalunya with the photographer Nacho Juárez. Advertising Agency was TBWA with Francesc Morata as art director and Nuria Madrid as producer.

Francisco Vilallonga, represented by First Factory, has just shot the new campaign for Joyas Seyart with Penélope's sister Monica Cruz.

The UBS Bank "Graduate Recruitment" campaign was produced with Gerhard Linnekogel in Zurich, Hong Kong and London. The agency was Publicis Zurich with art director Flavio Meroni and Ines Rimmele in art buying, who also chose Contra to produce Rivella lemonade with Photographer Nathan Beck and Boris Becker as model.

Nucleo is now launching the finished product of the “making-of” photo shoot they showcased in June.

The photos were shot for their latest campaign and brochure for the new BLS Cadillac in Barcelona and Girona, with photographer Stephan Jouhoff.

Canonigo Films is a film production company based in Barcelona that started making real progress in March 2003 with the production of two films almost simultaneously: "Rojo Sangre" starring Paul Naschy and directed by the young director Christian Molina and "Hot Milk", comedy, directed by Ricardo Bofill.

Canonigo have five new film projects to be undertaken in the next two years, as well as the development of diverse modern and creative TV products.

Nino produced various publicity spots for Allianz, working with the Production company Widescope and the Agency Atletico.

With the creative art team of DDB he shot and worked on ads for Volkswagen and TMB (high speed jobs: 16 hours from shot to proof)

Nino shot two editorials for LA VANGUARDIA “Semanal”: one was a fashion shooting with a bunch of  kids and the stylist Christina Kapongo; the other for CYL, bathing suits, with model  Andy Muise from Elite. The shooting took place in the “canyons” outside Barcelona.

John DK carried out the photo shoot for the new Nissan Micra Convertible which took place in various locations around Berlin over a three-week period. He then returned to Barcelona in time to shoot Nissan Pathfinder close to Barcelona.

Earlier in the summer he spent some time in Mallorca shooting an outdoor campaign for Riu Hotels and Resorts with Pep Faura.

John is currently preparing his next project in Los Angeles.

Sitges 2005 - International Film Festival of Catalonia will be returning to its historic dates and will be held this year from October 9th to the 18th.

We are sure this change will be positive and that it will help us carry out the activities that have made Sitges the number 1 fantasy film festival in the world.

Sitges 2005 will offer the latest and most interesting movies from the fantasy genre as well as a series of parallel events, retrospectives and tributes. Highlights: 30th anniversary celebration of the premiere of Jaws, by Steven Spielberg, the tribute to Alex de la Iglesia, the film series on Hong Kong moviemaker Johnny To and the Europa Imaginària retrospective, with the best in fantasy films produced in Europe between the 1940’s and present day.
