In this edition of SHOWCASE SPAIN, we again bring you news from Barcelona’s finest visual media companies and professionals, selected from our directory at www.productionparadise.com. We also bring you advance notice of OFFF BCN 2006, Barcelona’s International Festival for the Post-Digital Creation Culture, which will again explore software aesthetics and new languages for interactive and visual expression. Digital artists, web designers, print designers, motion graphic studios and avant-garde electronic musicians will all be featured. OFFF takes place 11-13 May and is described as “one of the essential meeting points for the international scene of post-digital creation”. More details at http://www.offf.ws/bcn. bcn photography/rental studios: TOP STUDIOS Demi Moore was chosen as the face for the new Saloni campaign, shot at Top Studios by Juan Gatti.
Mango also chose Top Studios for their spring image campaign, with Italian model Bianca Balti by Nico.
J.Manuel Ferrater shot an editorial for NEO 2 magazine at Top Studios, as well as Outumuro for La Vanguardia.
Jonathan Miller recently shot an editorial for Yo Dona magazine.

Francesc Vilallonga just finished two editorials with Silvia Munt for AR (fashion), stylist was Virginia, and make-up was by Ester Zaragoza from Servimatge. The shoot was done at Hotel Claris in Barcelona. bcn talent/model agencies: GROUP MODEL MANAGEMENT Vanessa Lorenzo has appeared in French Elle in an editorial shot by Filipe da Rocha. She also appeared in Mexican Elle, shot by Gilles Bensimon. To round off a good month, Vanessa was also April's cover girl at Spanish Elle, shot by Pau Pascual. She has just come back form Paris where she shot the upcoming Guess campaign under the direction of Ellen Hasse. Elise Crombez and Mathias Lauridsen have been over to shoot the Lacoste campaign for Spain. Pictures were taken by Jose Manuel Ferrater. The Caramelo campaign featuring Lisa Cant is already out. |

bcn event/film events: BAFF FESTIVAL BAFF 2006 – the 8th Barcelona Asian Film Festival – takes place 28 April to 7 May. As in previous years, BAFF will feature the best recent Asian productions, with more than 50 films being shown. The festival’s official competition of the "best, most innovative or surprising" of recent productions includes 11 entries from countries including Japan, China, Kazakhstan, Thailand and South Korea.
